Car Asanas

Traffic stressing you out? Presenting Prerana Car Asanas! A set of simple Yoga Asanas you can do while seated in your car. To loosen your muscles and relieve your stress.

Asana # 3

Seated Ardha Chandrasana

Sit straight, inhale, bring your hands above your head and grab your right hand. Stretch. Exhale and repeat for other side.

Asana # 11

Maintain Pose

Close your eyes, focus on breath. Rest your hands and legs. Push shoulders down and stretch neck upwards. Exhale, and tilt your head to the left, feel the stretch. Inhale, bring head back to centre, exhale, tilt your head to the right. Repeat.

Asana # 5

Pigeon Pose

Lift your right leg, place your right ankle on left knee. Exhale as you bend forward with a straight back. Feel the stretch in lower back. Breathe and try to relax in this position. Repeat with left leg.

Asana # 6

Seated Cat-Cow Pose

Place your hands on your legs. Roll your shoulders back and press your chest out while making a concave arch with your spine for cow pose. Then round your shoulders and back down for cat pose.

Asana # 9

Seated Eagle Pose

Place your arms in front, bent at a 90-degree angle at elbows. Place right elbow under left elbow, interlock arms, press palms together. Cross right leg over left and hook right foot behind calf, squeezing thighs together. Inhale as you release.

Asana # 8

Blind Spot Check Pose

Pretend to check your blind spot, slowly. Once you’ve gone back as far as you comfortably can, hold, take a deep breath. Inhale, exhale and return to your normal resting position. Repeat each side.

Asana # 7

Prayer Twist

Join hands in prayer, inhale. Exhale, bend forward with a straight back and hook your left thigh. Twist from the spine. Feel the stretch. Inhale, return to center, exhale, twist to the other side.
